The immigration authorities in the Emirates also revealed the reasons why the Pakistani citizens were deported.
The Pakistani consulate in Dubai has informed that the Pakistanis travelling to United Arab Emirates (UAE) should have a valid work visa, a return ticket, and 5,000 dirhams. This statement came after more than 80 Pakistanis were deported from the UAE for carrying dummy return tickets.
The consulate sent out a letter to the foreign office recently. In the letter, he urged the ministry to educate Pakistani passengers, who travel to UAE for employment purposes, to get a proper visa. He also mentioned the reasons why the entry of the passengers was denied.
The consulate staff received a query from a passenger at the Dubai airport. After getting the question, they visited the airport to find out that the UAE immigration authorities had barred the entry of about 80 Pakistanis for a number of reasons. The Pakistani mission urged the authorities to allow the entry of Pakistanis with valid visas. However, they informed the reasons why they were deported.
Of the 80 passengers who were deported, 40 were sent back on the same flight they traveled on to Dubai. The remaining 40 were sent back to the country on the other flights.
The immigration authorities in the Emirates also revealed the reasons why the Pakistani citizens were deported. They stated that the passengers had visit visas instead of work visas, insufficient cash to sustain in the UAE, and dummy return tickets. The majority of the deported Pakistanis informed the immigration authorities that they had come to the Emirates with the purpose of employment on visit visas.
The UAE authorities have clearly enlisted the set of requirements the passengers should fulfill.
